Greetings from Torrance! OK, totally unrelated to video poker. Last week my wife and I watched the series finale of Mash on YouTube. After watching it and reliving our youth, I told my wife that our sons have no idea what this show is about. They have never seen it, heard of it, and I am sure totally not interested even though it was the most watched series finale of all time. When you held up that VHS tape, your kids had no idea what it was. The next generation will have no idea what a DVD is. Hopefully, no matter how tech changes, video poker will still be around! BTW- anyone know what an 8 track is? 🙂
3 Deuces with a Straight Flush dealt!! Correct and only play to go for the 4th Deuce, but do you think they have it programed NOT to hit??!! It really seems that years ago, you would always HIT. I have given up Full Houses, holding 3 of a Kind (Aces, 2, 3, 4) and was rewarded with the Premium 4 of a Kind!

I’ve been to Pinetop, but never to the casino. If you make it to Phoenix, ask a local about the pay tables. Some casinos are just awful from $0.25 to $5, but some are actually pretty decent. Strangely, you can see good machines and bad machines in the same location. For single line, head to Lone Butte and sniff around.

The pat straight is worth 4.00 times your bet.
The draw is only worth 3.28 times your bet.
Kd Qs Js Ts 9s (an OESFD) is worth 5.55 times your bet.
On a wholly unrelated note . . .
When a FH only pays 40 (as opposed to 45 9n a full pay machine), it’s correct to break 4s full, 3s full or 2s full to try for quads.
A full house is worth 8 times your bet.
Small trips are worth 8.28 times your bet.

Deuces Wild:
Drawing three to AKs, AQs, AJs or ATs is NEVER correct.
A redraw is worth
.319 times your bet, whereas the drawing three – even when the draw is squeaky clean – is worth .317 times your bet.
Toss in a flush penalty and the disparity is alnost ten times as great. (.320 / .303)
And due to this one
occurring quite often, the overall cost isn’t insignificant.

It is real easy NOT to leave if up a few hundred dollars, especially if you just arrived. Leave to a different machine after it takes a hundred back is probably a good play IF you can do it. Video Poker is VERY addictive.
