My family went to Vegas for the first time for me and my twin brother’s 21st birthday. We happened to come across Gavin Smith as he sat down at a roulette table. He noticed we were watching him, and he asked my sister “red or black?” She called it red and it came black. But he was so nice. Then the next day we were walking through Caesar’s Palace and got invited into the 2010 National Heads Up Poker Championship crowd. We met Scottie, Doyle, Wasicka, Dennis Phillips, Annie Duke (I understand she’s controversial), Jason Mercier, and every one of them was so pleasant.

Annie Duke isn’t as controversial anymore. She created a poker league that failed pretty hard. But also, yes. Dennis Phillips was so nice with me and my family. He seemed to care more about having fun while also being competitive. He is a very positive man.

AA all-in Day 3 for the Top 5 Chip Lead getting Coolered by a guy who is gonna celebrate like that is crushing. Then the guy talking to you asking if you thought it was an ok call.- But then again the guy slow played Aces… I doubt in anyway Khan is folding… They will see the flop.
I loved watching Kahn play and his goofy antics. I’m sure it got under some players skin and that’s why I loved it. I always tried aggravating people too because it made them gun for me with trash hands.

I really miss the golden years of fun and great poker i still remeber a lot from those days im a stu Ungar fan since 97 but in this main event wsop i rutded for havad kang he was a great character not so much if u lost to him but to watch real fun wonder if he still play a lot or almost retired like me after over 20 years of fun whit Card s i always ruted for most of the legends and pro s spesesly huck seed and Tran and gus and many who went out that day but dam i miss the wsop from 96 to 2015?
