    1. When you’re a compulsive gambler, you lose sight of the little things that matter. All that matters to him is placing that next bet.

  1. If you go for a thin value and you can’t handle a check raise, why even go for it in the first place against an aggressive player? Bet to induce a raise and fold, perplexing.

    1. @Rahul Bangre Giving the signal that you don’t have a premium on a wet board to an aggressive player when you actually don’t have it surely won’t backfire… surely

    2. @H.T. Foster Chen it all depends on the frequency your opponent is going to raise as a block. What percent of that time are you going to call. Also do you think it’s possible if you get called light.

    3. @Rahul Bangre The point was to turn JJ into bluff, since they were too weak to call the river bet. With JJ he blocked QJ, which would be the nuts, so the probability of Henry having the nuts was significantly lower. That’s why he did it, to represent QJ with lower probability his opponent has it.

    1. Wesley can do this because he covers the table, and Henry was scares money in that spot.

    2. @Bully Boy Wesley is fun to watch but humility is underrated.
      All blessings come from God.

Just sayin… can you imagine how funny that would have been from a humble player like Henry? 😂

  2. Reminds me of the first time I played poker in Las Vegas buying in for 1k on a 4/8 fixed limit omaha 8 or better game which I believed was a 4/8 PLO game. It was just silly to have so many unneccesary chips.

  3. Henry got scared by the $100k, if Wes had QJ wouldn’t he mostly kept betting the river most the time in fear of a check behind? (JJ as blocker to QJ that’s all)

    1. Yea. These pressure spots always comes down to how much money you are willing to lose. No matter if it’s at these stakes or at 1/2. It’s all relative.

    2. Henry was up he didn’t want to give it bakc but it’s a SNAP call all day long especially with wesly

  4. Wesley left the poker scene and got into the lab with a poker coach. My suspicion is that it was most likely Andy Stacks. The river check-raises are new additions to his game. His ability to know where he is at is something he was not doing in his early days.

  5. Wesley is definitely good for the game, great for the show. Super action, super talkative, love to see him in every single show

  6. Candidate words for Wesley’s poker term of the year..

    ” Super Pro” & “Artists.”
