    1. Roi is only 10x, cause buy in is 1mil, not high considering risk reward ratio

    2. No doubt it was a good pay day for him but he was staked for the tournament so a decent chunk of the 10m went to his ‘investors’

  1. What happened to Esfandiari ?
Didn’t hear of him in last couple of years…

And even less of Sam Trickett, the guy was crushing it in mid 10s.

    1. I think Antonio semi-retired for a couple of years to spend more time with his family. He’s been making the rounds again recently though.

    2. After he hit that score he slowed down. Invested in businesses and whatnot.

    3. you know they’re not required to play all their lives right? they can play as much or as little as they want to.

  2. You can see the dealer’s hand shaking when he dealt the turn, burn, and river. Lol, yeah you don’t want to screw up a hand when there’s 20 mil on the line…

  3. Look at Esfandiari’s face when he’s being hugged after his win. Pure ecstasy. He even said in an interview later that it was the best feeling he ever had.

    1. 18 million. You and your family are set for life as long as you aren’t stupid with the winnings.

  4. I cheer on Antonio !! I remember watching him in a comedy thriller movie when he delivered a package and was dressed as a postman.

  5. @Antonio, lets go back to 2-4 triple draw and no max buy-in penny tables on UB with Phil and Annette.

  6. And they celebrate at the end, like Antonio’s buying them all lunch at McDonalds. Fantastic.

  7. 3:04 – INSIDE SCOOP: The EXCESSIVE HUGGING was part of a prop bet. Everywhere he and his entourage went. If they parted ways, hugs were mandatory.
This made for pure hilarity if you caught an elevator with him. Because when friends got off on their floor (Antonio lives on the 20th) you had to hold the elevator while everyone hugged it out.

  8. The REAL BIG GAME was at Aria in The Ivey Room. Bobby Baldwin and Guy Laliberté were hosting/bringing in whales. With a 5 Million Minimum Buy-In. Dealers got CRAZY tips!

  9. Always awesome to see these professional players compete with there 5-6 figure watches, designer clothes, and flip flops.

  10. I remember this. I also remember that unfortunately Antonio only had like 10% of his action. Some happy stakers for sure. 😮

    1. Yeah imagine if you were a backer and had 20% of him. You wouldve won twice as much as him 🙂

  11. Is that Guy with the backwards hat? That’s a gentleman that just gets it….
