Phil Ivey Runs Like a GOD and WINS $1,170,000!
“Runs like God”….this isn’t all skill like the “Pro’s” say. Look at the cards his got and the way he connected with these hands. There is a huge amount of luck in this F game, skill isn’t enough. It’s all fine and good, all I am saying is that we should admit that poker isn’t a 100% skill game like some of these monkeys say. If you want a skill game, play chess. Poker is largely luck.
More skill than luck.
@@peteradnell Probably but this does not change the fact that you must be lucky to win, especially in a tournament like this. Again, I have no issues admitting that skill is essential, all I am saying is that we should stop praising Ivey or others for being geniuses.
@@peteradnell Disagree more luck than skill. I have Full house and lost, I have had Straights and lost, I have had flush and lost. I have lost with quads!
Poker is a game where you can do everything right and “lose” or everything wrong and “win”. Very similar to life itself. Takes a special kind of person to play this sick game lol
5:20 how is that a straight??
Short deck poker. Ace plays as 5.
short deck rules
thanks
I just happen to be high, and so I got real confused by what was happening. The odds were off, and 4 cards made a straight. After a while i clocked on to this was short deck poker, and looked up the rules. They throw out all the deuces through fives, leaving 36 cards, so a pocket pair has the other 2 mates hidden in 34 other cards vs 50. Flush usually beats a full house in short deck rules.
