The night DNegs won the bracelet last summer……I woke up that morning knowing it was his for the taking. I’m not a guy into “gut feelings, vibes, etc” but it happened. I don’t cry either, but when DNegs had his wife there, he teared up a little during the victory speech……I got close.

Hey Daniel, you should run the numbers on what your flip win % is in the last 3-5 years. I’ve never seen someone lose so many flips, frustrating for me as a fan, I can only imagine for you. Be interesting to see your win % pre flop with a near flip situation
Probably unhealthy to go down that path but I can assure you it’s pretty outrageous
And he’s always ahead and just has to hold, that’s the saddening part lmao
You should look back at those early HSP seasons, see how TERRIBLE Dnegs was at NL hold’em, and think how great he had to run to win all those donkaments back when it mattered the most. Case in point, remember when 2eazy, a decent 1Knl reg, absolutely smoked you playing heads up back in 2009-ish. JF was nothing special, maybe the 25th best player in our Montréal crew and you couldn’t hang. But hey, rip on losing two flips in a row 😂😂😂
He wins flips here and there but it is the one two knockout punches that are killer. Like he said, if he could have won one of two flops he could have held in there. It is also a lot easier to be covered for a bunch of chips on a second loss than to get it in good twice for a couple near double ups.
I love you Daniel. And I’m always rooting for you. But I always lose infections too. At least you ran good enough for like 20 years to amass your legendary status and roll. Running good early in your life allowed you to run bad later. Myself I ran bad early in life when poker was my life and never made it. I don’t regret the life I moved on to…but I always wonder

Do you have a full beard like that? Its common for all. You move little hairs out of the way constantly and you guide hair down all the time to keep it straight. Its also a habit once you grow it out

I still try to follow D’Negs 3 step technique ( I saw this on one of his vlogs from several years ago) for handling being tilted (and not just at the poker table, this works anytime when you lose your cool and get pissed off).This only takes about 25 seconds.
1) Identify……Ask yourself “How do I feel?” (“I’m pissed off, tilted, tense, feel horrible, angry etc..”)
Sit up with a straight spine, Fully exhale (while squeezing in your lower abdomen) then (relax and open your lower abdomen) while inhaling deeply and slowly through your nose.
2) Positive ………Ask yourself “How do I want to feel” (“I want to feel positive, in control, relaxed and confident etc..”). Take another long, slow breath , hold it for a moment then exhale fully.
3) Action……..Tell yourself “I am in control, ready, relaxed and confident etc..”..and you will become that better version of you.
The slow deep breathing releases the physical tension and by identifying how you feel and replacing those negative thoughts with positives changes your mind.
so next time some dickhead almost crashes into you or you lose a big all in with aces against 72 off, don’t blow your cool and start road raging like you’re Mad Max, just go through those 3 steps.
but man, it’s tough to un-tilt when you haven’t had enough sleep, family arguments, stressed out and have just had a series of shitty things happening all at once.

1) How do I feel?
2) How do I want feel?
3) ..and feel that way.
I also put more emphasis on the breathing and taking long, slow inhales
One thing I like about the Bahamas is there aren’t really any “randos” looking to be in the vlog. I passed DNegs in LV during the 2024 WSOP but the look on his face told me it would be an absolute no go on any good interaction with him. In Paradise, it is all about the poker. Love it!
Just an observation as a long time viewer, nothing else: Most of the time Daniel lays out a solid strategy at some point of the video and later going total opposite and steam up, tilt, cuss everything and bust out.
Sorry for your loss but that shot of you breaking the tourney down at the table with the dealer sitting alone is so funny to me lol. Like this poor lady is working for her minimum wage plus tips gig, probably found a nice quiet table to gather her thoughts, inner strength and will power to just make it through another 10 hour shift… and here comes D Negs with his effin Go Pro and one man camera crew crying about busting a tournament where the buy in is literally her entire annual salary LOL… this isnt meant to be mean, just observational and hopefully humorous. You’ll be back D Nnegs! And so will this lady for her next shift lol…
