High Stakes Poker Best Poker Hands | Season 3
Real poker, back when the guys had nearly all of their own action. The upcoming remake of HSP will never have the same feel because you know that most of the guys at the table probably have less than 10% of themselves.
No Gabe, no HSP. That simple. Gotta have him.
@Little Oggie If the new HSP is even half as good as this, it would be a success. But I doubt it.
Love the show (then and now) but I don’t think they all had 100% of their action.
@refinedsugar you’re 100% correct. Take Eli Elezra for instance – he is notorious for borrowing and scamming. Also, mike matusow (not a scammer, just a degen) rarely had much of his action, by his own admission.
PLEASE BRING BACK THE FULL VIDEOS AND EVERY SEASON TO YOUTUBE!!!!!! Idk why they were taken away…
They are greedy like me
@Little Oggie wasn’t theirs to begin with lol
@Little Oggie where did I say poker go even exist back then????? Lol
get your bank card out
No torrents or Pokertube anymore either
Antonio’s 4 bet on the turn with 43 is crazy, I love it
@G B you can’t be serious
@Some Dude ben even said that he doesn’t put antonio on a flush draw on the turn, so he’s probably calling river. Don’t mind the check back on river
Then why fucking raise it in the first place. You’re clueless for loving a play that loses this much money
@Scott Larrabee bc esfandiari thought benyamine was trying to make a move on him. He feel he was weak on flop, which he was almost right. Thats why he made that 4 bet to win the pot directly on 4th street.
Btw. Benyamine was not going to fold there on the river cause he almost invested a lot there.
@Sam I am well obv he knew he was beat on the flip and turn also, he had the nut low. Bad play by Antonio cause there were too many draws out there to be bluffing with air
And thank you PokerGo for loading these videos. The video resolution is so crisp and clear almost hi-Def., its like this was recorded and shown yesterday.
Poker is so different now. Gabe Kaplan’s analysis is hilariously 1990’s poker.
@Dorian Urem maybe but there is no clearly defined GTO strategy for poker…and I don’t think there ever will be, frankly, at least not for full ring NL cash games… People have been going on and on about GTO for years now but there is still no real consensus about what it actually is… i’ve watched hundreds of hours of commentary and read a number of books, etc. and still am not convinced there is anything there but jargon and hand-waving. even if you use a computer program (a solver for example), you still have to guess the inputs…
lately i think people have (finally) started toning down the GTO talk actually…and even the most die-hard promoters of it will tell you that sometimes you have to play “exploitative” poker, which is their way of saying “Not GTO” …
@sliqdaddy91 He’s basically saying that over studying GTO and playing that strategy in live poker can, sometimes, be a mistake because in any given particular poker hand, or any decision on the hand, you might have a read or history with the player that adds extra information which, in that specific instance, would make the GTO play the less profitable play in that specific instannce.
@stoopidpants thank you! Well put!
@Dark Thought agree!
@Dark Thought Gabe is the peak of commentary ever
Phil Laak is right. It drives me nuts when players start gabbing about the hand when there’s three players in the pot.
@Steven Walker Chatter is okay as long as it’s not too loud. Discussing the hand being played 3-way is a no no.
I’m with Negreanu, if you are actually in the hand, you should be able to talk about it.
@Elhanan Hardaway not when the action is 3 way and you’re talking to one other person specifically
@Paul G It doesn’t matter how many players are in the pot. If tou are in the pot you should be able to talk about the hands. This aint online poker. And mouth-play is part of the game, and makes live games so much more entertaining and more skillful to play.
@Elhanan Hardaway you’re absolutely right, idk why everyone disagrees.
Kudos to Phil Laak! Mad respect from me; by telling those clowns quit table talking, that was getting really ridiculous.
Laak should stfu
Actually I found it funny coming from him 🤣
If there is going to be a High Stakes Poker 2, the producers need to get players/characters like Dan Bilzerian or Rick Salomon and throw in Jean Robert “Broke Living” Bellande and Aussie Matt Kirk and them in among new and ol pros. Those games would be juicy and highly entertaining TV.
Damn, do I wish Ivey makes that call.
Just would have been sooooo awesome.
i woulda loved to just see the turn and river 😂😂😂 he’s got gutterball and backdoor outs
That Booth hand! Classic!
These guys are having fun at the table. Love it. These days highlights are just people tanking and just staring at the felt. Bring em back!
God i love this era of poker
The golden era _2000 – 2010_ .
I totally remember the brad booth hand vs ivey. Such a sick play
“I thought you had the AK and was making a bad call anyway” – Jamie Gold ladies and gentlemen
Haha
The ultimate payoff wizard Jamie gold
Jamie Gold winning the WSOP convinced himself that He is a legend in his own mind.
He may of been a good tourney player, by winning the wsop, but oh boy he’s a terrible cash game player.
He had insane luck during that WSOP run, dealing out cooler after cooler after cooler.
Absolutely loved the last bluff, supported by inside straight draw and backdoor flush draw
Lol Eli saying “I can’t leave him the 100 dollars gotta steam him up” hilarious 😂
gabe is definitely one of the best commentators out there
Love how Doyle checks AA twice to trap Jamie Gold 🤭 the GOAT 👍
16:45 HE PUT THREE BRICKS OUT THERE
was so devastating Ivey folded pocket kings on the flop in position.
