  1. Did anyone else notice last night on Poker News, it showed Daniel #1 in chips with $33M before they realized it should have been $3.3M? I was super excited before I realized what had happened.

    1. Yes, I was wondering how he could have gotten so many… 🙂 it was not possible with the chips in play.

  2. Thanks for the great content. Every summer I look forward to seeing the daily life of an elite player doing his thing. Great job to the whole team on the vlogs

  3. Another good vlog. Thanks for the time and effort making them. Best of luck Daniel.

  4. This must be at least the tenth time I’ve seen Daniel call out the right hand and make the wrong play

    1. We do see Daniel correctly call out opponents’ hands quite often but pretty good chance there are a whole bunch of times he’s calling out wrong hands and we just don’t see or remember those times. Parkour!!!

    2. He’s not calling the hand, he’s speculating monsters that the play might have like happens on tables everywhere everyday. Later he said I knew he had Jacks. The 1000 times a player has said that to me I say wow you knew you were beat and still paid me, thanks for the generous gift.

  5. difference between you, Winter and the belarusian guys is they can fold the hand after correctly calling it.

    1. He has like 3 to 4 losing years over the last 15 years. Pretty sure he know what he’s doing more than you. 4 out of 15 years when you fire over 1 million in buy ins is actually pretty impressive

    2. This dude… says he “Always Knows”… Hasn’t won a Bracelet in like 10 plus years… I mean he can’t even read his wife lol… And he really thinks showing us 3 hands a vlog is going to hurt his chances 🤣🤣🤣 Maybe Andy is his Drug Dealer too????

  6. How many times do you think someone needs to get lucky to win one of these tournaments? Obviously getting it in with the best hand every time isn’t good enough.

    1. Take the case of a coin flip where your tournament life is on the line. If you wish to win one, the probability is 50%. If you wish to win two in a row, it reduces to 25%. 3 in a row, 12.5%, and so on. Short stacked players routinely have to flip for tournament lives. And the only way to avoid becoming a short stacked player in a poker tournament is to flip for your tournament life in an early level.

If you consider that winning just 3 flips for a tournament life only happens 1 out of 8 times, it’s very easy to see why tournament poker is for an idiot.

    2. @@aa10759tghjexcept your missing the point that youre able to build a stack early stage without having to flip for your tournament…

    3. @@aa10759tghj I always see the winners highlights and they seem to hit a number of 4 outers along with almost every flip. Seems like nobody every gets 1st place without something like that happening against better hands when the money goes in. So I’m not sure it’s possible to win a large field tournament even when you play perfect.

    4. @@stevenwilson8718You are correct, its very improbable to win that many flips in a row. Luckily for the good mtt players they are minimizing there all in pre flips. Getting lots of value at showdown and picking up pots uncontested. Just because its hard to win that many flips in a row doesn’t mean mtts are unbeatable

  7. Daniel, your extreme discipline in laying down the AJ hand at the feature table was incredible, and a solid read that he had pocket 8’s for the boat! Your determination and perseverance are an inspiration man

    1. Definitely not a hard laydown, his hand was a pure bluffcatcher given the action

  8. There is no value in playing the High Roller tournaments.
There is just no edge playing against the best players in the world.
    Basically flipping coins.
The value in tournaments is only in lower buy-ins with weaker fields, with large payouts.
As good of a gambler as DNegs is, he should understand this.
Poker has always been about picking your spots.

    1. Daniel is trying to prove that poker is a sport not gambling and that he is the greatest athlete in this sport. To do so he must beat the best, not take advantage of marks. The problem is that it *is* gambling and Daniel is a compulsive gambler.

    2. @@kennydargenson Daniel is a compulsive gambler? It was last year or the year before he lost over 2 million at the world series and then in the beginning of year he won 3 million in a high roller. If you play tournaments for a living you see where you stand at the end of each year. Its just a cost of playing.

  9. You are the reason I started playing poker 20 years ago! Its amazing seeing that you have adapted to the changes over the years and stayed competitive! Glgl in the rest of your schedule! Ill be there in a couple years. I will wait to bug you for a pictire until your done filming your vlog 😅

  10. Daniel, It’s great to vicariously play the WSOP through you. Insane that when you go all-in I’m there with you. Thank you! Keep up grinding. All the best, J

  11. What a great feeling it was to see that J on the turn. Felt gutted to see you run into QQ and there was the Jack on the turn to save the day.

  12. amazing fold against the 8’s. its one thing to call an opponents hand but to actually have the discipline to fold a monster going with your read is why hes a pro. great job!
