AQ vs JJ first hand is rough but with the run out no way he wasn’t getting doubled up poker is a brutal mistress
As much as i love ethan aggressive approach to the game, the shove on the turn was bad, the 8 wasnt a good card at all
@Elio Elio i agree but that river he was getting check raised 1000%. pretty sneaky full house
Smiling a whole lot more after winning that tournament, I noticed.
The A10 hand IMO isn’t bad etiquette you lose to so much there and him calling off you have to think you’re behind
The opponent check-raising himself is an advanced play!
I love the poker chips at the borgata. They are just different. Wish I could make that one.
Dude you are such a legend! Your blogs are what I wait for on a weekly basis! Roy said it for me!!!
A-10 vs the hero call was epic and brutal. Pressure play paid off. Good job coach.
That was not a hero call, that was a dumb call. At least have a pair. Unless he was thinking he was playing black jacks with his hand.
his fault for hero calling you with A high so you could of said anything to him and nothing could make him feel worse then him knowing his own mistake in that spot.. i usually never say, ‘you win’ when I have a pair but you must of known the opponent so doesn’t matter much..nice play
Not necessarily the worst slow role. But mad respect for realizing and openly talking about it. Don’t beat yourself up I’ve seen way worse at much smaller stakes
I would probably toss the guy 200 bucks immediately bc I would have felt so bad for slow rolling. This is why you never say “you win” at showdown, unless you know for sure.
I never say anything on showdown. I simply show my cards. Wether i have quad aces or 5 high, most players think too highly of themself and assume giving information for free is bad- what info? Your showdowns will not harm you. If you bluff- people will see that you can bluff- if you have a good hand, it’s great. I don’t care what I have- if I am to show my cards first- I’ll show.
As a long time player I can confidently say this happens sometimes, it’s ok. If you play enough one will be on both sides of it eventually.
Ive done the exact same thing that you did with that A10h hand. Next time, instead of saying “you win” , you could just announce , “10”. Thats what i usually do now when im called while bluffing, especially bluffing with a pair. Or just table. Either way its no big deal, dont feel too bad
I think when getting picked off for a river bluff shove , when you have no pair , you can claim “you win nice call” and pair I think you just declare “I have a 10” , you didn’t slow roll or do anything wrong , maybe just not the best verbiage once Austin calls
Not your fault bro, it’s clear to everybody that you didn’t intended to slow rolls, it’s just the way that hand develop. GG
“Good call” rather than “you win” changes the whole dynamic of your feelings. It was a bad call and he didn’t win but at least now you don’t feel bad. LOL
Way to go beast. Hopefully the run good continues strong for you. Straight Savage.
Checking you out for the first time from Brad Owen’s recommendation – Subbed for life, love your energy, personality and humble nature. Good luck in the future my newest internet person of interest!
Hey Ethan. You probably will not see this but if you do. I hope you do not feel obligated to produce higher stake videos after the big tournament win. Keep it up
4:31 SO sick! That must have felt sooo good <3
“You win” with that pair when you honestly thought opponent had you beat: Don’t beat yourself up. You showed great class afterwards in an uncomfortable situation. Keep rocking!
This is why I don’t show my hand first when told I am good. Few times I end up being losing in a awkward way.
