  1. I love Magnus and Mariano’s honesty towards each other and especially Mariano’s sincere advice to Carlson not to call after the Mariano A4 shove.

    1. showing respect, yet also having fun. “I bet you are not playing these cards normaly. I mean, you’re a pro player right?” xD

    2. Me and the boys do the same sometimes, we usually start whos gonna de-thrown the other and 1hr later it’s like we’re playing as a group😂

  2. The world champion of a game that requires logic, memory, and huge decision trees is good at poker, go figure lol

  3. Magnus is brilliant. He’s going to become one of the great poker players if he continues

    1. Why does that sound unreasonable? One of the greatest minds if not the absolute greatest in chess. Mariano is a relatively new poker player and is absolutely killing it in cash games. Why wouldn’t Magnus be able to get to a high level?

    2. @Othmane El fari Let that man look at solvers for 1 years straight and he can memorize the game tree

    3. @christianvega9469 Seriously, poker and chess are both strategic ,positional games and very similar. And Magnus is a very aggressive chess player. The dude is ferocious. If he takes that mindset and applies it to poker he will dominate without a doubt

    4. @dellh86 I dont know about a long Journey. Hes incredibly talented at poker. I beat high stakes online poker, trust me when I tell you hes got an incredible mind for poker.

  4. He is not yet there but with the right coaching He will get better.
Maybe Berky can coach him hahaha

    1. Too late… Mariano will take him under his wing until the Pupil beats the Master

    1. He has been playing for a long time, and I would say that “actually learning very quickly” is not the right way to describe the best chess player of all time.

    2. I am at 15th minute right now. Is this poker prodigy gonna win at least one hand?

  5. Loved this stream. I was excited to see Magnus and Botez tons of YouTube fans were in chat for KNJ. I loved the interaction between Mariano and Magnus.

  6. In this lineup anyone with the smallest amount of basic poker knowledge can look like a genius.

    1. I’ve seen just a couple of hands from him. But he seems to be understanding the game pretty well for a beginner. He used correct bet sizing which is not often the case even with regulars. Explained a correct hand reading thought processes thinking of the possible hand ranges after specific previous actions and cards on the table. He’s IQ is probably the sum of mine and yours combined and the guy is a hard worker. Give him 2 years in poker and he becomes a winning high roller. He just chose a different path.

    2. @Kalle Wikström lol I love how people mythologize a person’s ability to do something as “genius”. Everyone can be a “genius”, it’s all about the efficient time spent on a partical subject, if you start young enough, your foundations and the density of that knowledge combined with the early plasticity will have an inevitable outcome of turning you into a “genius”. People are super mega cringe

    3. @AERO ORB It’s pretty much the same in sports. No matter how hard you try and how early you start you will never be a successful sprinter or top football player etc unless you have certain very rare genetics which allows certain muscular build, exceptional coordination and a hardcore dedication to training.

    4. @AERO ORB That’s why true geniuses or top sportsmen are born and raised once for the whole generation. 1 out of billions of people and they stay there for a decade or so. Then when they get older and less efficient there’s gonna be this new guy taking over in an even greater pool of mostly average people.

  7. Not many people know Magnus have played quite alot poker. In many underground poker Clubs in Oslo and in the Norwegian poker championship

  8. That last hand was so epic! Nick’s tell was that he announced “$700” on the flop, but was completely silent the rest of the hand.. it looked like a bluffed flush draw.. (and he was holding the jack of spades so he might have thought he could represent a flush if another spade came). Amazing poker right there. Great instinct call from Magnus!

  9. Looks like Magnus will be coming back as his poker knowledge is on the hyper pace. He got the Brain to battle with everyone soon.

  10. Regarding Nick’s bluff at the end, i think its super suspicious not to go for it all on the river you know? like 3 streets of value, SPR is about 1 and he doesnt shove? GREAT call by Magnus

  11. Gotta say, Magnus did really well considering the hands he had. Well played my friend…

  12. I beat 1knl online and have been an online pro for 10 years. Trust me when I tell you that Magnus is very talented for poker. I was extremely impressed with some of the things he was able to realize in hands for how little poker he has played. He should put more time into this game I think he could take it to the top.
