    1. also does Phil expect to cruise to the Final Table by just having the nuts? At some point youre gonna have to call off 80% off your stack with the 10th best hand

  1. Duffy managed two impossible things in poker.
    – He got Phil Hellmuth to shut up
    – He made Phil Ivey angry

  2. If Duffy didn’t open his mouth, he would have had increased his chance to see Helmuth folding. 😂

    1. Yup…if you are to talk in a situation like that, you better be cautious. I, too, reacted to what he said..I smelled Bragging to conceal Weakness…

    2. right. you are not chatting in front of a guy who’s reading is proven by years of winning.

  3. The guy talked him into calling when he said ‘I think you have two pair’.

  4. But no way he had a 3 in his hand lol. He probably only bluff thinking Phil has top pair or 2 pairs, not a straight

    1. yeah its an incredible feat that Hellmuths won 17 WSOP bracelets with barely ever winning a hand. must be the white magic

  5. Haha what have been epic if Phil folded 😂 he’d never let that go with how much he talk’s

  6. Online you see random blast-offs like this constantly. Most times it’s weakness but 10% of the time it’s the nuts. The only real problem is it’s often vs someone you have no history with and you have to ascertain whether they’re the idiot type or not.

    1. This wasn’t a feature table. It’s likely the roaming cameras only got to the table and started rolling after the shove.

  7. Duffy was rocking back n forth in his chair, and talking silly stuff, he was clearly nervous, if he had the nuts he would be ignoring phil just checking the ceiling, way calmer than he was. Easy call if when you analyse their posture at the table

  8. I wish we could see how the hand played out because how could you consider folding? Sure there’s a full house potential, but you can’t fold all the time to a big river big or raise unless it makes sense

    1. That’s true but in tournament poker 1 big loss can kill your chances at winning it all or even finishing in the money.
